To start a ConceptBase session, we use two terminal windows, one for the ConceptBase server and one for the usage environment. We start the ConceptBase server by typing the command CBserver -p 4200 -d test in a terminal window of, let us say machine alpha. Then we start the usage environment with the command CBinterface in the other window. \
