Christoph Quix is an assistant professor in the Information Systems Group
(Informatik 5) of RWTH Aachen University, Germany, where he also received his Ph.D. degree in computer science in
2003.
His research focuses on metadata management,
data integration, and semantic web technologies. He
has about 40 publications in scientific journals and international conferences.
In 2004, he visited the group of
Phil Bernstein
at Microsoft Research
to work on model
management and schema matching. He is also scientific manager of the
Aachen Center for Software Concepts (ZfS
Aachen), an initiative of
Microsoft to support small and medium-sized companies in Germany.
